The only problem with Follett's books is that you can't put them down. Bringing history to life and filling in the human story plugs any holes. I've read of this deception in the history of WWII but now it has truly come alive!

I am a huge Ken Follett fan BUT this was not one of my favorite books by him. The storytelling-style was fragmented and awkward. Additionally, the characters, especially Heinrich, lacked the depth and passion Ken's creations usually have. Again, I have read most of Follett's books and I think his research and storytelling is remarkable...this just didn't seem up to his high standard.
