Harlingen Cobin did it again. Every time I thought I had I figured out he surprised me. The ending was great.

I read a lot of mysteries and I think this one had more than the usual number of twists and turns by the end. Which is good!

What an amazing story! Just when you think you have it figured out, it changes! And you get sucked in deeper! So many layers! Excellent book!

I feel like the actual story, which is good, is about 80 pages shorter than the book. Coben will describe a product or some piece of technology a character is using for pages before he gets back on track with the plot. By the second or third instance I learned you can skip over them, all of them, and it won’t affect the story whatsoever. Only the second book I’ve read by the author, but if this is his writing template, it may be my last.

A good story, keeps you guessing. But the formatting is a mess. There are no spaces between most of the scenes. So you’re reading one scene and then the next thing you know you’re somewhere else. In other places they used the *** between the scenes, which is the way it should always be.

Suspenseful film for sure. However, the synopsis given here is misleading: the protagonist is not the father of the kidnapped, adorable baby, but the mother.
