As a daughter and a mother I found myself drawn in and relating so much from these varying perspectives. This book inspires me to put pen to paper and explore more deeply my life and my many roles in this life time. I appreciate so much their honesty and vulnerability and their strength as women and their deeply loving and respectful relationship. Thank you for this lovely tale and meaty swatch of life.

Traveling with Pomegranates took me inside myself, the way a good book should. The way The Red Tent did, and a few other female-centric novels have. I especially appreciated reading it in iBooks, so I could look up images of the Mary's and the places they travelled. I was alo able to look up referenced poems, and this made reading it even more enriching.
