This is one book I just couldn’t get into. Read over half of it but finally stopped.

This book should be styled for a very young crowd. It is thin on plot and other intricacies that make a book interesting for an older crowd and very long on romantic speculation and endless immature second guessing. It’s not a bad read but not for anyone older than 16.

A wicked witch, actually a confused and thoughtless ex-fiancé, has turned Nathaniel into a frog. He has hopped across the pond to escape the pain of the broken engagement. Charlaine has lost her family in Jamaica to illness has come to England to be with family friends. They are both somewhat lost and in need of a friend. This is a cute, heartwarming rendition of the frog to prince fairytale. Nathaniel is wary of becoming too close. Charlaine is a kind happy person, full of life, and is determined to change this frog into her prince. There are lots of friends and family to nudge the couple toward a happy ending. The flower girls are adorable. Of course, we all know that fairytales end in happily ever after. I enjoyed and recommend this story and the Happy Ever Regency series. I do wonder where Emma is going in such a hurry, and why is Lord Ashhaven holding her shoe? I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.
