Description

As teen stars, their young love splintered under the spotlight of fame.
Twelve years later, their incredible chemistry is still there…but is their relationship ready for a Take Two?

Jay Orlando used to be a lot of things—notorious heartthrob, second lead on cult favorite teen drama Sawyer's Cove, and in hopeless first love with his costar Camille Corsair. Now he's a humble bar owner reluctantly trading on his onetime fame while she's a certified star. When Cami walks into his bar, the last thing he expects her to say are the words "reboot" and "contract." While Cami is tempting as ever, Jay has no intention of reprising his role—on the show or in Cami's life.

Cami's fledgling producing career hinges on getting her ex-costar and the boy who broke her heart to sign on the dotted line. Her return to Misty Harbor, the small seaside town where they shot the original show, reminds her of a simpler time. She's not expecting the place to feel like home, or to be reminded of all the reasons she fell in love with Jay Orlando in the first place.

Hollywood meets small-town New England in this steamy contemporary romance series.

Sawyer's Cove: The Reboot
Twelve years after being canceled, a beloved teen drama gets the green light for a reboot—and the show's once and future stars upend lives in the small seaside town where it's filmed.

Cami and Jay were in love twelve years ago. They parted leaving both broken hearted. Now they have the chance to make things right again. The basic plot of two former child stars meeting again after all these years seemed like it would be light, superficial fare. I began reading with not very high expectations since the first pages were a supposed podcast transcript from a re-watch party. My first impression was so bad I almost returned the ARC. But I thought I should at least make the effort so I began to read. I’m so very glad I did. This book was nothing like I expected. It’s a wonderful, romantic story that I read in one sitting as once I started I could not put it down. I loved Jay! He was this incredible guy no one could fail to adore. Seriously book boyfriend material. Cami was adorable! Such a sweet girl who wanted nothing more than for someone to truly love her for herself. It was almost frustrating watching them pine for each other. I desperately wanted these two to work things out as they really belong together. This is exactly what a second chance romance is supposed to be. The supporting characters were also fun. I can’t wait to see what ends up happening with Mimi and Nash. There’s a fantastic story just waiting to happen there. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
