Definitely download this book. I wasn’t sure of it when I first read the synopsis but I am so glad I bought this book. It has a lot of substance along with the romance. By the end of the first chapter I was hooked and can’t wait to read the rest of the Fox family’s stories.

At one point I laughed so hard I was crying! Some points were high tension and I was holding my breath. I was drawn into the whole story and loved every second. The characters are fun and well developed. I’m happy that there was no immature fall out with the main couple like there is in MOST of the romance books. I love that they stayed mature and strong through it all. Great read!

This was a nice story that explores complex issues of grief, alcoholism, and emotionally abusive relationships. Well developed writing style, though it does get slightly repetitive and overexplain-y at times, mostly in the second half. Whirlwind romance. The lengthy pronouncement that life is messy and things can’t be wrapped up in a neat little bow doesn’t really land when the writing is simultaneously doing exactly that. Though Finley suggests Archer’s wealth doesn’t matter, it was his wealth and his access to Oliver’s wealth that allowed him to rush to her side in her time of need and for them to effectively run to the rescue of her sister. Wish the queer characters were more plot relevant. Visible rep was basically one random couple showing up for two lines and Nora and Jess showing up briefly at the end.

This is a book that draws you in from the first chapter and you hate having to put down. I can tell I’m going to love the entire series. I’m looking forward to Oliver’s & Piper’s story & hopefully catching glimpses of other characters introduced in this story. In this book Archer & Finley are a couple you are rooting for finding their HEA from early on.

Just what the doctor ordered…things in the world right now are stressful and so uncertain. This lighthearted, fun, small town, big hearted, witty, more sweet than heat romance was a perfect escape from reality. I loved the development of the characters and can’t wait to get to know the siblings better throughout the series.

voluntarily read an arc of this book and am leaving an honest review. This book will break your heart and turn right around and put it back together for you. The characters, Finley and Archer, will make you fall in love with their romance and the storyline will keep you turning page after page. This book is completely engaging, I wanted so much for Finley to find some relief, she’s such a hard worker and so deserving of a break. And someone to look out for her and take care of her. Archer is that man! He’s so wonderful and smart and honorable. I loved these two together. I was frustrated by Findley’s siblings, Jacob most of all but hopefully his accident helps him grow up and deal with his issues. I’m also REALLY looking forward to the next book in this series. Mary Frame went in a little bit of a different direction with this book and while her other books are also very heart warming, I loved this new character direction and storyline. If you’re looking for a book that is heartbreakingly beautiful and has wonderful characters, chemistry and storyline, look no further. This is one you don’t want to miss!

Between A Fox and A Hard Place is a heartwarming story about a woman trying to keep the family business alive for her large family and the fixer sent by the man who is determined to buy her property. Finley basically gave up her own life dreams to become a surrogate parent to her younger siblings. Archer, the fixer, is impressed and captivated as he gets drawn into the family disfunction around Finley , but can he help her or is he just a distraction? Serious problems like alcoholism are highlighted but without drowning the reader in emotional angst. Mary Frame is starting a new series with this book and this reader is totally hooked. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book. Most highly recommend.
