The writing is extremely poor. I feel as though I’m reading a child’s work with how the dialogue and descriptions are written. I couldn’t get through the first chapter . Derek is the best in this series.

There’s A LOT going on in this story. Full of drama, yet I felt like it was missing A LOT. There was really no build up to the main characters relationship. Although there was an HEA, there really wasn’t any romance. There has to be more than love at first sight now let’s go take down the bad guys. I find Leann’s writing style to be a bit elementary. She tends to to say the same things throughout this book…you’re so kind, I am so happy, you’re so sweet, I feel so safe. All of these repetitive words/phrases can be omitted and more development of the actual story could have been added. I’ve read quite a few of her books, and have noticed that same pattern in each one. BUT if you want a short story with really no depth, then I recommend you give her books a try. Sometime I just want a frivolous read where I don’t really have to think. Also, I’m not sure who edits/proofs her stories, but there are always a lot of errors. I’m all for slang, but me trying to figure out what should be said because words are omitted, extra words in odd places or misspellings is annoying.

Konrad was phenomenal. It was like reuniting with family. It has everything & more from what you’d expect coming from Leann. What I love from any of Leann’s book is that once you read one book, you’re sucked in to this entire world of excellent characters, exciting story lines & of course our beloved alphas. Definitely a must read & buy!!

Ohhh my heart, this book was worth the wait! Now, my heart will always belong to Mav, but this story comes in to a close second!!! It was a nonstop, edge of your seat, delicious page turner! Bravo Ms. Ashers!!!

I couldn’t read this book fast enough! After reading about Etta and her sister getting rescued, I was so excited to find out that they were getting their own books and I devoured this book as soon as I got my hands on it! Etta is very traumatized from her childhood, but instead of slinking back into herself, she has taken the opposite approach in making it known that she is willing and able to help anyone looking to escape unsafe situations. Konrad is an original MC member and somehow the two miss meeting each other until one day, where Etta’s past comes back to haunt her and her family. With the instant connection and feelings between these two, Konrad helps Etta in her mission and together they work to take down the cults while also flourishing in their relationship. These two were so great together, especially with Konrad really giving Etta the ability to be herself and, in the action, while also having a level of alpha male and protection towards her. I was obsessed with this story, and I cannot wait for the next installment! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

A great addition to the series. I had been waiting for Konrad and it did not disappoint. I am not sure how she does it, but LeAnn Ashers keeps adding great stories to her name. Another must read in my opinion.
