Description

A new series from the USA Today and WSJ Bestselling author of the Moonshine Task Force Series!

The heat is on.

Situated on the Tennessee and North Carolina border, this town is nothing like you’ve ever experienced. Hot guys, the women they love, and a town worth saving. Bradford, TN is the epicenter of the next great romance dynasty.

Firefighters, family, and community…

Danny Ramirez

As a Probationary Firefighter, I’m doing everything I can to impress the members of my company. Knowing I’m the first in my family to be educated makes me proud, and gives me hope for the future.

I hold myself to a higher standard than anyone else, especially with a southern small-town breathing down my neck. One night, on a dark mountain road, I help the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen in my life change a flat tire.

What I don’t know, is she’s the youngest daughter of my Chief. His number one rule? Don’t date his daughter’s.

I try to stay away from her, try like hell, but when a forest fire threatens our town, and the guys in my company. I know I can’t let her walk away from me. Not without a fight.

Phenomenal storyline that grabs ahold of you from the very first page to the very last. Fantastic characters that both have issues to overcome. The chemistry between Danny and Hayden is explosive. Their chance meeting and then finally getting to know each other was so well written. I loved the Hudson sisters relationship and how they look out for each other. I also loved the Ramirez families relationship, their work ethics and how family means everything to them. I would definitely recommend this new series because it starts with a bang.

📖 ARC REVIEW📖 Review: 4/5 ⭐️ Steam: 1.5/5🔥 #rookie is the first book in a new series by @laramie_briscoe. This is my first book by this author. Danny has to work against the grain. Being from “the other side of the tracks”, a working class family and a minority he feels like everything is against him. He was able to get on the fire house he wanted and is thriving, but tends to doubt himself. He’s working on making the best impression to his team and more importantly his chief. All goes well until he helps a girl change a tire, he knows she’s different. But when he finds out her name, can he give himself the chance of a real relationship, or is the one big rule his chief has going to stop him? Hayden is back home after being away from college. She wanted to experience life without everyone knowing who she and her family are. But coming home was always the end game. To be in the town she grew up in with her family. As she’s settling back in, she his a snag with a tire issue. The guy that helps her grabs her attention, but why when he finds out her name does he leave? Can she get her shot at happiness without her dads interference? For my first time reading this author i really enjoyed it. I liked the characters, the storyline and low angst. I always love knowing the other characters that are significantly involved will make another appearance and I can get to know their story too. If you want a sweet firehouse book definitely give it a try! I’m excited for the next book too.
