Description

Our love is strictly forbidden. But every person has their breaking point. And we’re about to reach ours.

The last time I saw Creed Lawson was the morning he left for basic training. After eight years apart, I thought I’d gotten over my innocent crush on my brother's best friend.

But when he walks back into my life, there’s nothing innocent about the way he looks at me.
Or the thoughts that enter my mind.

I try to ignore the obvious chemistry between us.
After all, I’m second in line to the throne.
And he’s a career military man who’s about to be sworn into the royal guard.
Even if I weren’t being forced to marry a man I don’t love, Creed would never act on his attraction.
Or so I thought…
Until we reach our breaking point and finally succumb to our desires.
There may be no future between us, but that doesn’t stop us from being together, despite the risk.

And with each day, that risk becomes more dangerous, especially when I learn there’s more at stake with my arranged marriage than I’d been led to believe.
My grandmother always told me there’s no place for love in a monarchy.
Maybe she was right…

Royal Creed is the first book in the Broken Crown Trilogy, a forbidden royal romance between a princess and her brother's best friend.
This book features: A jealous, protective military MC who only has eyes for her. An inexperienced FMC. A secret forbidden relationship Lots of sneaking around and nearly getting caught That scene in the shower An element of danger that will leave you guessing

I hate books that make you go to another book to find the ending. I’m thankful after a few chapters I decided to go to the last chapter. This is one of them. I’ll add the authors name to my list to not purchase any more of their books because of this.

This book from the get-go was sooo heart-thumpingly satisfying! The forbiddenness (not sure that’s even a word, but feels right) of their connection w/ societal parameters/restrictions that engulfs their everyday existence, but it can’t be that way with the soul bond/flame they share. Absolute chef’s kiss. Thank you for this book, T.K. I highly highly enjoyed 😍🔥
  • Almost a cliff hanger

There is an ending, but it really requires the purchase of two additional books. Otherwise it is a long (maybe steamy for some) but very good tale. Complicated characters with twists and turns
  • Riveting, suspenseful romance

Holy Moly!!! My mind has been blown. First of all--an arranged marriage--can you say no thank you? Are we back in Victorian times? I guess some royals just never learn. It is a shame that Esme, a princess, and Jameson, a billionaire's son, didn't have the strength to stand up for themselves. Esme's heart belongs to another. Is it wrong that I loved all the back and forth of should I or shouldn't I? Esme's secret relationship with Creed, a soon to be Royal Guard. had steam coming off the pages. This has to be my favorite forbidden romance. Talk about a deep attraction!!! Sneaking around puts her and Creed at risk but it made for such a thrilling to read. This was one affair I was in full support of. Esme deserves happiness, not Jameson Gates. Something just isn't right. I started questioning what was going on. I fell into the story; hook, line and sinker. The author's hints teased my brain. Tragedy left me in shock, asking even more questions. Things just weren't adding up. Page after page I fell deeper down the rabbit hole. Someone is lying. Maybe more than one someones is lying. I had my suspicions. The conspiracy runs deep. The cliffhanger is an absolute doozy. The story has a jaw dropping ending. My mind is going to go nuts thinking of all the possibilities until book two releases

Esme and Creed’s story is one I have been dying to read ever since we first met them in the Royal Games and Tangled Games duet. The snippets we saw in thos books made it very evident that there was a deep history between Creed and Esme, the only question was, exactly what was it? Even if you have not read those books yet, Royal Creed is a complete standalone and T.k. really gives readers an angst filled story of two people who even though they know by convention they can never be together, defy all wisdom and duty and give in to their passion and feelings. T.k. really dives deep into the workings of a royal household, the deep rooted traditions and obligations the members of a royal family must adhere to in the name of the monarchy. To say I would never, ever want to be a member of any royal family is an understatement! “There’s no place for love in a monarchy.” Is the running theme in the way Esme’s grandmother and team run roughshod over her in their quest to marry her off to a suitable man who will look good at her side and be a strong male figure in their marriage. As far as Creed is concerned, he’s just about to be commissioned into the Royal Guard, a tradition in his family. Once that happens there’s no way these two could ever be together. But until that happens, they concoct a plan to spend as much time together as possible, enjoying each other’s “company” if you know what I mean, and promising not to let feelings play any part in it. But everyone knows that never goes to plan. I really enjoyed the underlying suspense element that was taking place in the story, T.k. a master at laying the groundwork for something to come. I had my suspicions about several people along the way, but was completely surprised at a big revelation that takes place during that jaw dropping ending. Now I can’t wait for the next book!
  • “Friends” on different paths

Esme and Creed… childhood friends with two different paths. One path leads to royalty and the other to protect royalty. With no path that can lead to each other. Lies, death, drama, and the need to be together. What can happen during a summer? The introduction to Esme and Creed’s story is not to be missed!
