Sahvage has been living under the radar for centuries—and he has every intention of staying “dead and buried.” But when a civilian female sucks him into her dangerous battle with an evil as ancient as time, his protective side overrides his common sense.

Mae has lost everything, and desperation sets her on a collision course with fate. Determined to reverse a tragedy, she goes where mortals should fear to tread—and comes face-to-face with the Brotherhood’s new enemy. She also discovers a love she never expected to find with Sahvage, but there can be no future for them.

Knowing they will part, the two band together to fight against what Mae unknowingly unleashed—as the Brotherhood closes in to reclaim one of their damned, and the evil vows to destroy them all….

  • So good

I don’t know why there’s bad ratings on this, it made me skeptical. Honestly, I’d have to say this is the best book in the series so far. Not as much romance as the other books, but the story was so good I couldn’t put it down!

This was very difficult to read, confusing and not a good one overall. Every other book in this series has been great. This one can be skipped.
  • Mixed Feelings, but Love Sahvage

I really struggled with how to rate this one. The story was good, once it settled. This book has more issues than the one before, but I ended up enjoying the story of Sahvage and Mae. There was definitely a lot of psychological mess in this one. They both have massive baggage, but in the end they make it work. Ultimately, I did actually enjoy it. I don’t know if Ward was off her ADHD meds while writing this book, but it was crazy hard to follow with all the jumping around until about 1/3 to 1/2 way through when things seemed to settle into a rhythm similar to the other books in the series. The last book had “snowflake” and now this book has a “Karen.” Is it meant to be cute? Is she trying to prove she’s up with pop culture? I don’t get it, and I wish it would stop, honestly. “Natch” as an ending to a sentence for any and every reason started a few books back and now, quite frankly, it can be used as an example of why you switch up word choice in creative writing courses around the world. It’s gotten old and annoying.

  • Better BDB books are coming

I wanted to love this one but I just couldn’t. I’ve read all the BDB books and this is my least favorite. The main character’s romance takes a back seat to other stories in the book. Which would be okay if there were a lot of sections with the original brothers but that is not the case. The new Villain continues to get great character development in this one. A welcomed replacement for the Omega in my opinion. Her character, a certain cat burglar (no spoilers) along with the last few pages of this book (seriously the very last page-wow!) should get fans excited for what’s next in the series.
