Description

I knew the risks of this job when I signed on with Jameson Force Security. Knew my time as a marine would prepare me for the danger I would face. But no amount of training could have ever prepared me for the helplessness of watching my teammates die, the agonizing mental and physical pain of torture, or the despair of captivity.

Returning home to Pittsburgh following a mission gone wrong, I am riddled with guilt and haunted by nightmares. I spend my days trying to regain the parts of myself I lost in that desert, the pieces that made me the Malik Fournier I once was. While the physical effects of my torture are fading, the emotional ones are proving much more stubborn and I find solace from the last person I should ever seek such comfort.

Anna Tate lost even more than I did in that mission. Now a widow and a single mom to the daughter she gave birth to shortly after her husband’s death, Anna offers me comfort I don’t deserve. As my feelings for Anna grow, I worry that once she learns the truth about what happened, she’ll turn her back on me.

I pull her to me just as tightly as I push her away. Hoping this forbidden love will save me from the ghost I’ve become.

Code Name: Ghost (Jameson Force Security #5) was a great read by Sawyer Bennett.Malik knew that his job with Jameson Force Security was a risky one. But his training as a marine would prepare him for the danger. Unfortunately his training wouldn’t prepare him to watch his teammates die and be stuck in captivity. He was subjected to torture both mentally and physically. Malik returned to Pittsburgh feeling guilty and haunted by nightmares. Malik is trying to find the man he was before the mission that changed his life. On that same mission, Anna lost her husband. Not only is she a widow, she is a single mother to the little girl she had after her husband’s death. Anna and Malik comfort each other. They have a chemistry that neither one can deny. I really enjoyed reading Anna and Malik’s story and can’t wait to read more by Sawyer Bennett.

This is one of the books that I have been not so patiently waiting for. I wanted to know what happened to Malik in Syria and when he comes home. And what would happen with Anna Tate after picking up the pieces of her life after losing her husband. The relationship with these two is what you can imagine. Sawyer Bennett did not disappoint with this book. I could not put this down and loved the story. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. The great thing about this series and of sawyer Bennett series is you don’t have to read all of the books but I do suggest you do because they are so good.
  • Finally getting Malik’s highly anticipated story and it was so worth the wait!

Finally getting Malik’s highly anticipated story and it was so worth the wait! After getting bits and pieces of the preview of Malik’s story in other books, I was so excited to finally get his whole story from start to finish of what happened when he became a POW, and then the aftermath. I was absolutely heartbroken for him at the beginning of the story where we find him captive for months, and I ended up jumping for joy when he was found! Anna lost her husband in the same mission where Malik was kidnapped, and she gave birth to her daughter and maintained her independence while mourning his death. When Malik is rescued and returns home, both him and Anna have a pull towards each other, likely from their common link of the mission gone badly, and as they get to know each other post recovery the more the chemistry and feelings grow. I absolutely loved this story for so many reasons, but definitely loved that these two found each other after the traumatic situation. I can’t wait for the next installment in this series – especially with the bomb dropped at the end of this book! Another absolute hit from Sawyer!! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Sawyer is such a master of story telling. Malik and Anna's story is beautiful to see unfold. They've both been through such hurt and devastation that they seem to be drawn to each other. They deserve to find peace with what has happened, and it happens to be found in an instant friendship. The attraction is undeniable and both are hesitant to act upon it. Plus Anna has Avery to consider in everything she does. As imaginary obstacles begin to crumble, these two become very close and begin to heal each other. I absolutely love how Sawyer brings characters in from other series and we continue to see the family dynamics which are an intricate part of her stories! This series is one of my favorites!!

5 Stars Code Name: Ghost by sawyer Bennett is the fifth book in the Jameson Force security series. Even though it is part of a series, it can be read as a stand-alone. This series continues to get better and better with each book that’s written. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Malik’s story and let me just say to you guys that it was incredible! It was emotional, it was well written and I swear it’s one of the best books in the series. Both Malik and Anna were fantastic characters. They both have been through so much in their lives.the chemistry between them is electrifying and the bond they have is absolutely beautiful. With time, friendship, and a love so powerful, it will be nearly impossible for them to not have the happy ever after that they so deserve. I loved this book so much! As always Ms. Bennett delivers an epic love story that will stay with you long after you’ve finished. Highly recommend reading this book!
  • Bro Code

After leaving the marines, Malik joins Jameson Security Force. As an adrenaline junkie, he figured he could do what he loves, with less risks. Just weeks after joining Jameson Security, Malik is sent on a rescue mission. The mission goes horribly wrong, lives are lost, and Malik is taken hostage. Jameson, never one to “leave a man behind”, works day and night following leads for months before receiving promising intel. Jameson, without the government’s permission, sends a team in to rescue “Ghost”. Ghost had all but given up hope that he would be rescued and couldn’t believe his eyes when his teammates arrived, guns blazing. But, he is haunted by nightmares and survivor’s guilt. The only one that seems to understand him, is the one he shouldn’t want.... Anna Tate, assistant to Jameson, has lost a lot in her short life. She is a widow and mother to Avery. Anna was pregnant with Avery when her husband was killed on the mission where Ghost was taken. For five long months, she prayed that Ghost would be found alive and his captors made to pay for their evilness. When Ghost returned, she was relieved—felt she could finally put the past to rest. What started out as an offer of friendship turned into so much more...If not for the “bro code”. Talk about dangling the carrot....Sawyer Bennett’s ability to weave stories effortlessly throughout different series is nothing short of a miracle! We KNEW the mission had gone wrong in the Arizona Vengeance series as they were sent to rescue civilian hostages in Dominik’s novel, Then we get snippets of the on-going search in the Jameson Security novels. Flawless writing that keeps you on the edge of your seat. I loved the gentleness the “big, tough, Alpha” showed with Avery, his fascination with the little things in life. The connection between Anna and Malik was so strong, deep. This novel also focused on emotions and the use of counseling to talk through difficult situations. I cried tears of joy for Malik’s rescue and HEA, tears of sadness for dreams lost, but also of dreams to come. I highly recommend this novel! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

Anna and Malik. Familiar faces to Sawyer Bennett fans. And if your new to this series you’ll still enjoy this great romance. Now it’s time for their story. Anna lost her husband in a mission gone wrong. She’s beginning to pick up the pieces of her life and she’s moving on to a. Ew normal with her baby daughter. Malik lost his freedom in that mission and he feels responsible for loosing the lives of 2 coworkers. After 5 months in captivity he’s finally back home. And the guilt is eating him up. He has a hard time being around Anna and her daughter because of what happened. Then he starts to feel something more for both Anna and a deep affection for her daughter as well. These two need each other to heal. They need each other to move on....they need each other to be a family. This book was set up so that it was just wonderful to watch these souls in need of each other under such unusual circumstances come together. I enjoyed every minute of this couples journey to happiness. You can go wrong with this read.

Wow!!!! I devoured this book. I have been waiting for this book since Malik went missing in Syria. I have mixed emotions about this book. I loved it, it was eye opening and yet I'm a little sad now that I have the full story. Why sad? Because I don't think this book can be topped. Malik lost a piece of himself in Syria during captivity. No surprise. But to find that missing piece in the wife of a teammate he lost in Syria has to be one of the hardest emotional roller coasters ever. And let's not forget bro-code. Anna lost her husband on a mission gone bad. She became a single mother weeks later. But she found a piece of herself when she convinced Kynan to give her a job as his Admin. Then Malik is found and she is relieved. Is she really over losing Jimmy? Is she ready to move on? This book was chock full of emotions. The guilt, self recrimination, and emotional toll being in captivity for 5 months took on Malik. The self exploration of her own desires and figuring out what Jimmy would have wanted for Anna. The long talks. The maintenance repairs. There was just so much going on in this book. I could NOT put it down. Now, I'm sad that it's over. I waited so long for this book, the anticipation and now it's just over. I want more.

5 phenomenal stars! I have been anxiously awaiting Malik Fournier's story and let me tell you it did not disappoint. This book is everything I hoped it would be and so much more! It was also such a relief as his fate had been hanging in the balance for a while now. Sawyer Bennett really pulled out the stops to make sure this amazingly strong man (strength of will and heart) got the story and HEA he so truly deserved! After everything he went through at the hands of his captors for all those months, it's no wonder he even has a gentle bone left in his body. But this sexy swoony man has all the gentleness in the world for Anna and her baby girl Avery. Things are slightly complicated for Malik and Anna, but fear not, this is a romance after all! I absolutely loved this book! One of my faves in this series so far!!!!
