I try to read as many books as I can that have fairytale characters and romance themes. This one was enjoyable, and I like the variety of beings and abilities. I’m going to get the next book in hopes that the romance ramps up a bit.

Exciting, good story line, love the magic.

Starts off at a quick pace and rarely slows down. Where it does (slow down)it’s only for descriptive purposes or for explanation of the characters or their history. Some of the sharing of powers between the characters becomes a bit confusing, but this IS fantasy. Reminds me, style-wise of Mistborn and flows well. Likely to read the rest of the series if it reads like the first book.

Yes this book is self published, so there are some typo’s. If you look past the few grammatical errors, the book is amazing. Sabine is a dynamic character and the authenticity of the magical world created by the author is addictive. If you want a fast paced read with passion and magic sprinkled throughout, this book if for you.

It’s been a long time since I’ve read a new series that I can really get into! I’m looking forward to reading the rest!

Wow, I loved this book from page 1 till the end. I had to force myself to put it down multiple times. VERY GREAT READ!

Great read! It kept me interested from the very start. The only small issue I had. Is there many misplaced words & periods where exclamation marks should be. Or vice versa. In some places, while reading. I would have to reread a sentence or paragraph a couple of times. Putting different words or punctuations in place in my head. Slightly confusing. Still, as I said. Really a great read. Can’t wait to start the next one.

…but the excitement started to wane near to the end. Initially very exciting and unique but disappointingly generic towards the end.
