Everyone knows a couple like Jack and Grace. He has looks and wealth; she has charm and elegance. He’s a dedicated attorney who has never lost a case; she is a flawless homemaker, a masterful gardener and cook, and dotes on her disabled younger sister. Though they are still newlyweds, they seem to have it all. You might not want to like them, but you do. You’re hopelessly charmed by the ease and comfort of their home, by the graciousness of the dinner parties they throw. You’d like to get to know Grace better.

But it’s difficult, because you realize Jack and Grace are inseparable.

Some might call this true love. Others might wonder why Grace never answers the phone. Or why she can never meet for coffee, even though she doesn’t work. How she can cook such elaborate meals but remain so slim. Or why she never seems to take anything with her when she leaves the house, not even a pen. Or why there are such high-security metal shutters on all the downstairs windows.

Some might wonder what’s really going on once the dinner party is over, and the front door has closed.

From bestselling author B. A. Paris comes the gripping thriller and international phenomenon Behind Closed Doors.

  • Great Quick Thriller

I found myself wanting to know what happens next around 1/4 into the book and finished in two days. Every plot twist was sort of hinted but still fun to read. The ending was a little abrupt for me and I’d like to see a bit more after story, but it is effective overall.

Idk lots of emotions currently - 3.5 stars. By the time I actually got around to reading this I finished in 2 sittings. This was honestly gripping from the go for me. The protagonist here was a little cringe and got on my nerves but she got it together in the end. The villain character arch was so intense and he carried this story all the way through. In this genre you need a good villain and this man is wild. Ending emotions in one statement would be: really don’t mess with my girl Millie!!!!

I was looking for a thrilling read with a hint of romance but not very dirty or graphic. This book delivered! A perfect beach read keeping me on the edge of my seat!

Looks like if a guy is too perfect, it means he has a secret. Gotta watch out for myself. Overall, a good story.

For those whom claim this book to be their favorite this year or ever. I have serious concerns about your mental state of health if these types of themes interest you: extreme animal cruelty;human abuse;and extreme child abuse.
  • Like a bad horror movie

Tried to finish the book but it was impossible. Repetitive. I felt like we’d never get to the point. The psychological warfare is sickening, but it never goes anywhere… disappointed

I don’t get the raving reviews for this book. Terrible dialogue, no character building. I can’t tell you how many times I rolled my eyes trying to get through this. This should be in the young adult section. DNF
